Ranjini Woodhouse is a Reiki Master-teacher and going to her house for a taster of a pain relief session intrigued me particularly after she told me she has treated members of the Sri Lankan cricket team with it.
Based in Mursley, Ranjini has been practising this art since 1996 and claims that it can help with the pain relief for Chemotherapy, broken bones and stress.
Once there I have to admit I was a little sceptical not because I didn’t think it would work, but more afraid of what she would find.
This form of stress release originated 3500 years ago in Tibet by Monks and uses three symbols to help you re-balance your energy.
Ranjini told me she has completed the three levels of expertise in the stress release therapy and can send the vibes around the world with just the use of a photo or name of her patient.
The session lasts around 15 minutes and gets the best results when your eyes are closed and sat back.
Once I let myself be taken I genuinely felt relaxed, I mean I didn’t experience an outer body feeling or some sort of high spirit awakening but just simply content.
My heart rate fell and genuinely just gave me a chance to put things in order in my head like: Book the photographer and take the correct documents to the estate agent tomorrow, almost a way to step out of the madness of normal life.
